DONATE TO MY INTERNSHIP

Donate to Help Support Eric's Work in Cape Town
(I still have yet to reach my fundraising goal!)

Thank you for considering donating to help support me during my time in Cape Town. In order to live in South Africa for the year and fully take advantage of such an incredible opportunity, I am responsible for raising about $10,000 for my travel to and from Africa, visa expenses, the cost of emergency medical and evacuation assistance insurance, food, and personal incidentals. Because GRS is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit, any donation to the organization in my name is tax deductible to the extent provided by law.

In order to donate, you may:

1. Send a check made payable to Grassroot Soccer – with “Eric Barthold’s Internship” in the memo – to P.O. Box 712, Norwich, VT 05055.

2. I recommend that you donate by check to avoid online payment processing fees, but if you wish to donate online, go to www.grassrootsoccer.org/donate, choose “Tribute – In Honor of” as your donation type, and then enter my name.

There is no deadline for when donations must be sent, and the funds submitted using either method will be used to directly support my individual work in South Africa.

While I have been in awe of Grassroot Soccer since my first “Lose the Shoes” tournament in middle school, I have only recently realized how amazing the experience as a GRS intern will be for me in particular. GRS combines three of my main passions in life: soccer, education, and activism. I feel privileged to be embarking on such an unbelievable internship in a year leading up to the World Cup, and I would greatly appreciate your support in my efforts to grow as an educator and have an impact on such an important issue for my generation.

Thank you!
